Quick Tips

IELTS preparation tips from our teachers

Advice from AL-Xorazmiy school's English teachers to help you reach your target band.

Writing
Always plan before you write
Spend 3–5 minutes planning your essay structure before writing. A clear plan leads to better coherence and higher scores.
Reading
Read the questions first
Before reading the passage, scan the questions so you know what to look for. This saves time and improves accuracy.
Listening
Use the preparation time wisely
During the 30-second preview, read ahead to the next questions. This helps you stay focused during the audio.
Speaking
Don't memorize — practice
Memorized answers sound unnatural to examiners. Practice speaking naturally about topics using varied vocabulary.
Vocabulary
Learn word families
Instead of memorizing individual words, learn their noun, verb, adjective, and adverb forms. This doubles your usable vocabulary.
General
Consistency beats intensity
30 minutes of practice every day beats 4 hours on weekends. Use Khwarezmi IELTS daily to build your streak and see real improvement.
